Forest Wellbeing is an exciting new development for the Forest Activities Festival, happening for the first time this year. The Forest Activities Festival is being held in the grounds of the Speech House Hotel on Sunday 23rd April 2017.
Think of it as a chill-out area where you can go to relax, and find out about some of the wonderful activities which promote relaxation, health and wellbeing in the Forest of Dean. Organisations that will be at the event include:
Float in the Forest, Shari & Will can tell you about the exciting new floatation centre coming soon to the Forest of Dean. Come and find out what floatation is all about, and you could win a free float!
Alba Health will be offering taster sessions / demonstrations in mini acu facials, acu pressure techniques and cupping, as well as information on traditional acupuncture and the wider range of treatments and wellbeing services provided.
The Garden Room in Lydbrook will be offering some taster sessions in hand or foot reflexology, as well as information about aromatherapy and reiki treatments.
Uniqueness Health will be on hand to tell you all about Energy Medicine, a complete system for self-care and self-help.
Forest Holistic Therapies. will be offering taster healing sessions, information about homeopathy, and about the benefits and uses of meditation.
Toni will be at the event rom TLSSMART, offering taster sessions in sports and remedial massage.Come and talk to Chris from Adfitness, who is a personal trainer and Neurokinetic Therapist.
Kishe from Wildwood Yoga will have information on her Iyengar yoga classes which take place in various venues around the Forest, and yoga equipment available to buy.
Gemma from Crow & Wild, a new wellness hub at Harts Barn, will have information about their range of treatments and classes.
Valerie is a Nutritional Therapist, and will be offering taster sessions of up to 30 minutes. Learn what nutritional therapy can do for you!
Forest Therapies will have information and taster sessions in some of many treatments, which include auricular therapy (ear acupuncture), hypnosis, past life regression, eye movement therapy, physiotherapy and Vega testing for food sensitivities.
Caroline from Wye Valley & Forest of Dean Therapy & Healing Centre is a hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, and will be offering 15 minute taster sessions.
Cheryl from Cosmic Teapot, will have information about her new spa and therapies centre at Elton, which offers private and exclusive use of a pool, hot tub and sauna for individuals, couples and groups up to six people, as well as treatments such as Reiki healing, massage, and coaching.
The area will also have a series of sessions taking place throughoput the day from deep relaxation in 10 minutes, Iyengar yoga, auricular therapy, creative visualisation, neurokinetic therapy, stress busters for the busy, & energy medicine.
